It's definitely been a great move for Sean. He absolutely LOVES what he is doing and is grateful for the people he is working for/with. They seem to really care about how our move has been going and had been very understanding of Sean's time off last week to get us here.
As we are excited for our adventure and exploring another part of our country, there is always the starting over phase again. The dreaded months of having to figure everything out with finding a new doctor, dentist, sports leagues, schooling, meeting new people to build relationships with and all that stuff. It is quite overwhelming!
Currently I'm trying to adjust going from a 4BR house to a 3BR apartment (a temporary living arrangement for 3 months, but still a challenge with four kids). I won't lie. The unpacking has been driving me insane as there is just not enough room :( More things will need to go to storage.
On the bright side of things, we'll have access to two swimming pools (which may be a curse as the kids ask every day, every hour if they can go to it), a basketball court, a playground, a fitness center and are only about 100 feet from access to a trail that we can run/walk/bike on. Even better yet is that it leads straight to Red Hook brewery. If any of you know my husband, you will know that this excites him greatly!
So even though I have my good days and my bad days, I know that I just need to remember that things usually work out. We have had many instances of bad luck since Sean said "yes" to this job, but we've also had many good things happen as well. When times start to become rough, it's time to dig down deep, pray lots and know He is watching over us. An added bonus is being blessed by all of our amazing friends and family that have been thinking of us and checking in.
My goal is to keep in touch with many of you and to keep up with this blog to document our family's activities, adventures and just about anything. Hopefully someday we can print it all out so our kids will have a book of our journey through life with them :)
